December 17, 2012The League of Cincinnati Theaters has recognized Falcon’s production of It’s a Wonderful Life with four nominations:
Ensemble in a Play
Featured Actors Nathan Ruggles and Adam Drake
Featured Actress Kate Joos Glasheen
It was also recognized as a “Recommended Production”.
Panelists praised the ensemble cast who did a “marvelous job working together to pull off all of the various voices” “at a breakneck pace”. The three featured actors, and Kate Glasheen, view Nathan Ruggles, and Adam Drake, who played all the minor characters in the show, were nominated for their “outstanding range of voices and expressiveness”; their “rapid shifts from one character/voice to another were impressive and convincing through a variety of roles.” Overall the production was recommended as “a wonderful surprise and a delightful production, a marvelous way to revisit an old classic”; “an inventive adaptation…enjoyable throughout.”
Final LCT awards will be determined at the end of the season and announced at the LCT gala in the spring.
