From The Producing Artistic Director

One of my favorite things about my job as Artistic Director is developing new seasons.  We have a great team of dedicated artists on our play reading committee who read dozens of plays every year to help me pare the list down to a manageable level.  I can’t possibly thank them enough for their hard work.  But ultimately, both the pressure and privilege of finalizing each season rests with me.

We try to come up with better seasons every year…which keeps getting harder.  But here we are…our 2024-25 season is ready to launch and it’s one of the most exciting slates of plays we’ve ever put together.  Each one will be brand new to the Greater Cincinnati area…fresh, new, powerful and provocative!

Last year’s season was focused on Identity…this year’s scripts all play on the theme of chaos!  From the chaos of dark minds, to the changes that alter our lives irrevocably, to the outrageous (and farcical) inner workings of the White House, this season offers drama, mystery, comedy and pathos.  You won’t want to miss a single show! I am honored by the hard work and artistry of the wonderful people who choose to share their talents and passion with us at Falcon Theatre.  And I’m thrilled have this wonderful season to offer these artists and you, our amazing and supportive audience.  Now, please sit back, relax and enjoy…our 2024-2025 season.

Sincerely,
Ted Weil
Producing Artistic Director

Cast Biographies

Brian Anderson (Terry): Brian is excited to return to the Falcon stage, having last appeared in Next Fall back in 2016. After beginning dance training at the age of nine, Brian earned his BFA in Theatre and Dance from Birmingham-Southern College. Like his character, Terry, Brian moved to New York City in the early 90s to start his artistic career. He toured Europe and the U.S. with 42nd Street, A Chorus Line, and Meet Me in St. Louis, then moved to Cincinnati to earn his MBA in Arts Administration from UC. Locally, he has performed extensively with Cincinnati Music Theatre (Evita, Chess, Priscilla—Queen of the Desert, Ragtime), Know Theatre (Corpus Christi, Another American), the Carnegie (Chicago, Full Monty, Willy Wonka…), Cincinnati Landmark Productions (Next to Normal, Mamma Mia!, Hand to God), IF Theatre Collective (Burn This, No Exit), and Cincinnati Public Theatre (Love! Valour! Compassion!). Brian has received three Cincinnati Entertainment Awards. He spends his days as an accountant at the Cincinnati Playhouse and lives in Westwood with his husband and four delightful cats. Thanks to Liz, Ted, Dan, Katie, and this fantastic company, and love and thanks always to Gordon!

Aiden Dalton (Justin): Aiden is excited to make their Falcon Theatre debut as Justin in Mr. Parker. Aiden attended Xavier University, receiving their Bachelor of the Arts in Theatre with a Writing minor. After graduating they continued their training with the Professional Acting Apprentice program at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati (ETC). Since then Aiden has worked professionally at companies like ETC, American Legacy Theatre, South Bank Shakes, and more; as well as acting and directing independent work with Cincinnati Fringe. Aiden is honoured to serve as the Theatrical Director for The Ghostlight Stage Company. Next up, they will be directing and sound designing  Late, A Cowboy Song by Sarah Ruhl in May, as part of The Ghostlight’s 24/25 season, which will be presented here in Falcon Theatre’s space in May.

Angela Alexander Nalley (Cassie): Angela is pleased to return to Falcon Theatre. Trained in opera at CCM, Angela is no stranger to Cincinnati area stages. She was recently delighted to play the Nurse in One Off Productions’ inaugural performance of Romeo and Juliet, sharing the stage with her son, her husband, and some of those closest to her. Angela has performed here at Falcon Theatre, as well as with The Carnegie, Know Theatre, Cincinnati LAB Theatre, The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, the Covedale, and the Incline Theater. Some other favorite roles include Ann Kron (Well), Matron Mama Morton (CHICAGO), The Fairy Godmother (Disney’s Cinderella Jr), Mother Abbess (The Sound of Music), and Berthe (Pippin). Thank you so much for supporting live theater! When the world is uncertain, remember that theater is a constant source of joy and inspiration.

Production Team Biographies

Liz Carman (Director): Liz returns to her beloved Falcon Theatre after her onstage appearance last season as foul-mouthed tabloid vulture Jerri Gold in Two Point Oh. As an actor, her work has been seen locally with the Carnegie (Motherhood Out Loud; In Love and Warcraft), Know Theatre of Cincinnati (Credible, and too many SecondStage appearances to list), InBocca Performance (Like Demons), the Cincinnati Fringe Festival (SOFT), SouthBank Shakespeare (The Merry Wives of Windsor; Much Ado About Nothing), and Queen Mab’s Players (Twelfth Night; Hamlet). She’s directed, stage managed, and dramaturged at many of these places too, and is particularly proud of her open-air The Tempest with SouthBank Shakespeare last summer. She’s on staff at Know Theatre, where she’s co-produced the Cincinnati Fringe Festival for the last seven years, and produced the episodic theatre program Serials! for the last three. She also has one degree in literature and another in pastry, because hey, life’s a journey.

Katie Ruwe (Assistant Stage Manager): Katie is pleased to be joining this production of Mr. Parker. Born and raised in Cincinnati and a graduate of NKU, she has worked throughout the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region. At Falcon Theatre, she has also managed POTUS, The Other Place, Breaking the Code, Vincent, Lifespan of a Fact, Silent Sky, Ben Butler, The Agitators, and Yankee Tavern. She has also stage managed with Queen City Opera on productions of Cenerentotla, Iolanta, Der Freischütz, Die Valkyrie, and the world premiere of Tchaikovsky’s Undina Eco-Opera. She has also managed Spinning Into Butter with American Legacy Theater, 100 Days with KNOW Theater of Cincinnati, Steel Magnolias with The Story Collective, as well as several Fringe Festival shows with many different and wonderful creative minds. She would like to thank her partner for his outstanding support and the staff at Falcon for their continued trust in her. She sincerely hopes you enjoy this show as much as she has enjoyed working on it!

Michael McKeever (Playwright):  With wit, insight and a healthy dose of his quirky sense of humor, Mr. McKeever continues to entertain audiences throughout America, Europe, Canada, Australia, and Russia. He has been honored with an NEA Residency Grant, and has been a three-time finalist for Humana Festival’s nationally renowned Heideman Award. He is the recipient of eight Carbonell Awards, four Silver Palm Awards, and three Florida Individual Artist Fellowships. He is also an award-winning actor and designer. He is a founding member of the award-winning Zoetic Stage in Miami. He resides in South Florida and is a member of the Dramatists Guild and Actors’ Equity.
