The leading role of John Merrick has been inhabited by some famous names; Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame and singer David Bowie both played the role at various times between 1979 and 1981. The play was also revived on Broadway in 2002, starring Billy Crudup (who recently appeared in the film Eat Pray Love) as John Merrick.

Auditions will be held at the Monmouth Theater from 7pm to 9pm on Sunday, Feb 20 and Tuesday, February 22. No appointments necessary.
Casting needs:
Cathy – female performer with strong vocal and acting skills.
Jamie – male performer with strong vocal and acting skills.
Please prepare a contemporary song that highlights your performance skills. A song by Jason Robert Brown is fine, but please NOT from this show. Bring sheet music for the accompanist.
*note* age will not necessarily be a deciding factor in casting decisions – any talented performers are encouraged to audition.
