Laurel Humes of the League of Cincinnati Theatres says that Kristy Rucker “shines in the difficult role of Emily. Her expressive face shares all her emotions with us: fear, frustration, anger, hopelessness.”  Victoria Hawley “performs well the difficult role of daughter Jenny…help(ing) us empathize with her always problematic relationship with her mother.” And Evan Blanton provides some…comic relief, and a philosophical tone, too.”

The story revolves around Emily Bridges, the tough, no-nonsense owner of a construction company who is happier wearing a hardhat than an apron. Emily’s comfortable, long-established existence with her husband John is thrown into chaos when she mysteriously begins to lose her senses one at a time…smell, taste, sight, and hearing. She is plunged into a world in which can communicate only by touch; she becomes completely dependent upon the husband whose affections she has always taken for granted.

The production, directed by Ted J. Weil, has three remaining performances: This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, (November 29 & 30 and December 1) at 8:00 PM. Tickets prices are $25 for adults and $15 for students with ID. Patrons enjoy a $5 discount for Thursday performances. Visit falcontheater.net to reserve seats.

And while you’re at it, it’s not too early to make reservations for Falcon’s next production: The Exonerated, opening January 25, 2019.
