“Master Harold”…and the Boys, by South African playwright Athol Fugard, is set in Apartheid South Africa of the 1950s. The story revolves around the relationship between a young Afrikaner and two black men who are longstanding employees of the tearoom owned by the young man’s parents. At the heart of the play is the power of Apartheid’s institutionalized hatred to threaten even the deepest and most firmly established relationships.
Performances are May 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 at 8 PM.
