Falcon’s A Streetcar Named Desire Opens In One Week!

Falcon Theatre’s fourth production of the 2017-18 season is Tennessee Williams’s classic Pulitzer-Prize winning A Streetcar Named Desire. The production opens a week from Friday. Get your tickets now!

The story revolves around Blanche Dubois, a fading Southern belle, who arrives at the New Orleans tenement home of her sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Stanley Kowalski, for an unspecified but likely lengthy visit. Blanche has recently lost Belle Reve, their ancestral family home, after the death of all their remaining relatives and is on leave from her job as a schoolteacher because of her bad nerves. The friction and resentment between Blanche and Stanley is palpable from the outset. Blanche is shocked by the disreputable looks of the cramped apartment and by Stanley’s crude demeanor and aggressive tendencies. As the story moves to its inevitable conclusion, Blanche’s startling secrets are revealed.

The Falcon production is directed by Nate Netzley and features Tara Williams as Blanche, Phineas Clark as Stanley, Ellie Margolis as Stella, and Charlie Roetting as Mitch Mitchell. The cast also includes Torie Pate, Derek Snow, Ray Dzhorgov, Natasha Boeckmann, Tanner McDole, and Terry Gosdin.

Performances are at 8 PM on March 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, and 31. Ticket prices are $22 for adult tickets and $15 for students with ID. Patrons enjoy a $5 discount for Thursday performances.
