Auditions for The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
August 30 and 31, web 7:00-10:00 p.m

Performance Dates:  January 26-February 11, cost 2017

Characters:

Ransome Foster (M/30-40): A scholar from New York, well-spoken and well-read.

Hallie Jackson (F/25-35): A strong-minded, rough-talking proprietor of a saloon.

Bert Barricune (M/40-50): A true gunslinger, worn and battered, and in love with Hallie.

Jim ‘The Reverend’ Mosten (M/20-30): An African-American swamper. Kind, well-mannered and gentle with a lot of energy.

Liberty Valance (M/30-40): A Southern gentleman; intelligent, tough and terrifyingly unpredictable.

Marshal Johnson (M/50-60): Talks the talk, but a bit of a coward when it comes to confrontation.

Jake Dowitt (M/25-40): An enthusiastic reporter for a small local paper.

Company (M/20-40): Will swing from Valance’s Gang to Mourners to Students to Saloon patrons. One will also play the Deputy.

Narrator (M/ any age) This can be a voice over only or one of the Company
