Falcon Theatre logo

Welcome!

Since 1989, Falcon has been an integral part of Greater Cincinnati's thriving theater community. We welcome you to that long and exciting tradition.

Falcon has always been dedicated to both our artists and our audience as the relationship between the two is what makes live theater such an exceptional art. The creation of a play takes collaboration between actors, directors, designers, and a host of talented people. But it is the union of our finished piece with the emotional and intellectual response of you, our audience, that creates a performance.

Welcome to Falcon! Thank you for visiting our website and for participating in this unique experience.

Meet Falcon

Ted Weil

Ted is one of the co-founders of Falcon  and has been directing and acting with the organization for 20 years.  He, along with Dave Radtke started Falcon in order to broaden the range of theatrical opportunities in the Greater Cincinnati area.  Since 1989 he has performed in almost every capacity with various productions at Falcon including design, direction, acting, technical design and execution and production.  Ted also currently serves as Vice-President of the League of Cincinnati Theatres with which Falcon is associated.

Jay Benson
Board Member
Jay Dallas Benson is a native Cincinnatian and has been involved in eater since the age of 10, when he was asked to portray King George III in a school play honoring the US Bicentennial.  Jay was glad to finally find a place where his natural talents for making funny faces, wearing silly hats, loudly singing inappropriate songs, clowning around, stealing focus, and generally hamming it up were not only appreciated but were actively encouraged.  Needless to say, Jay has been an actor ever since.
Since then, Jay has appeared in over 30 plays – almost half of which were Falcon productions.  Some of Jay’s favorite roles have been Brad in The Rocky Horror Show, the Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors, Laertes in Hamlet, Otto in Diary of Anne Frank, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, multiple roles in The Mystery of Irma Vep, and as himself in both The Bible – The Complete Works of God (Abridged) and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).
